Philosophy:

While most programs begin at “hands on” we know through real world experience and research that more than 75% of what keeps you safe happens before things go hands on.

With our comprehensive approach we begin with the psychology of violence. Once there is an understanding of the roles the hind brain, limbic system, and the neocortex then one can better understand the emotional process of the of those they serve. We break down the differences between social & asocial violence within individual and group encounters.

unconscious survival instincts and semi conscious social survival instincts can push good people to violence under the right amount of stress. We teach providers about anger management, maintaining awareness of body language, and pre-incident indicators. This will allow you them predict and de-escalate most violent encounters before they happen.

We teach an understanding the stages of violence, motivations, fear, intuition, anger, and what can trigger you and cause a situation to escalate.

Sometimes de-escalation isn’t possible. Our team prepares providers with the most effective methods to physically stop violence while keeping all parties as safe as possible. This is achieved while also working within self defense law and ethics of their given profession.

We also discuss what to do after an encounter ends.
